One illustration depicts one of the survivors, who was stuck under piles of books and pillars as several bookcases fell on her.
The other is a month after the Atomic Bomb has been dropped and the character returns to the centre of the city to find there are plants growing out of the ashes of the ruins.
The illustrations are drawn by hand with fine-liner and then edited on photoshop.
